Step 1
Go to the store and expect to take some time in looking for the right sports bra. Although a department store may be the easiest option, a fitness store may be a better bet to find a bra of the highest quality.
-
Step 2
Expect to spend a bit of money. Even though it may be ideal to buy a few bras, if you only want to buy one, purchase the best one you can afford.
-
Step 3
Try on a variety of bras before you decide on one. Look on the tags for the following words: compression, (for smaller cup sizes) encapsulation, (for middle cup sizes) and both compression and encapsulation (for larger cup sizes).
-
Step 4
Make sure the material, when you try the bras on, stretches horizontally not vertically, have seamless cups, and are made from a breathable material. Simulate your running style in the dressing room and lean forward to make sure you don't fall out of the bra. Test them in every way you can to make sure the bra has the support you need.
