Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Log into your account and open your AOL mailbox. Once there, click on the "Settings" option in the right hand corner of your mailbox (to the left of the "Help" option). With all of the other options and advertisements in your mailbox, this small link can be hard to find, so look for it carefully.

  2. Step 2

Select "Compose" from the list on the left, once you are redirected to the next page. Use the drop down menu, under the "Signature" section, to select "Use Signature." If you want to disable your signature in the future, you will do so using this same drop down menu.

  3. Step 3

Type your signature into the box. Your signature can say anything you want it to and it can be fairly long. You can even add pictures, links or anything else that you want your friends, family, business contacts or others to see whenever you email them. For example, if you are a business person, you may prefer to put your name, address, email and phone number in your signature so that you don't have to type it out each time you send an email.

  4. Step 4

Choose the "Save" option from the top right hand corer of your mailbox. You will now how your unique signature appended to every message you send, unless you choose not to append it to a particular message.
