How to Shrink Wrap a Catamaran

1
Winterize your catamaran. This includes the outside and the engine. If you are unfamiliar with how to properly winterize then it is best to have it done by a professional as an improper job can damage your catamaran.
-
2
Take all cushions and other cloths out of the catamaran. If stored inside it can cause a stale smell to develop during the winter months in storage.
-
-
3
Build a strong frame that will support the shrink wrap over the catamaran. This helps prevent damage that can be caused by accumulation of snow or rain puddles. Pad the corners of the frame so that it doesn't penetrate the corners of the shrink wrap.
-
4
Install vents in the shrink wrap around the catamaran to permit the vessel to breathe. Lack of proper ventilation will allow mold and mildew to accumulate and damage the catamaran.
-
5
Store the shrink wrapped catamaran away from overhangs and roof edges. These areas dump a lot of snow and rain on the catamaran which can cause the shrink wrap to be penetrated.

Tips & Warnings
Although shrink wrapping will definitely help to protect your catamaran it still is not as effective as storing it inside a storage unit. This can be very pricey though.
