Step 1
Buy a card. There is a vast array of Valentine's Day cards available, including those made for friends, family and others with whom you're not romantically attached. Take advantage of the selection and find the perfect card to give to your friend.
-
Step 2
Plan an activity with your friends. Go see a movie, visit the salon for a day of pampering or go out to dinner together. Or, brainstorm with each other and choose a new activity that you've all been dying to try.
-
Step 3
Organize a Valentine' Day party for you and your other single friends--it's a great excuse to get together. Don't focus on the fact that you're all single. Instead, think of it as a way to enjoy one another's company and have a great time.
-
Step 4
Express your love and appreciation for your friend by telling them how much they mean to you. All too often we avoid telling our friends that we care about them. Use this opportunity to tell them that they're special and an important part of your life.
-
Step 5
Be charitable. Ask your friend to visit a nursing home or orphanage with you and pass out Valentine's Day cards to the residents.
-
Step 6
Make travel plans with your friend. The destination and trip length depend upon your and your friend's budget and availability. If you like, you can go all out and celebrate in style. But even a quick two day trip to a nearby destination is a great way to get away and have fun.
