Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Things You’ll Need:
- Plastic scrubber
- Water and vinegar solution
- Rag
- Polishing compound
Step1
Assess the amount of calcium buildup on your glass. Depending on the amount of buildup, you may have to repeat the cleaning steps more times or take more time on each step.
Step2
Use a new plastic scrubber to gently scrub your glass without any water or other cleaner. Scrub until you break up the frosted, or old, look on your glass. This may take just a few minutes or longer, depending on the condition of the glass.
Step3
Make a hot water and white vinegar solution with a 1-to-1 ratio, and apply the solution to the glass. Use your scrubber to gently massage this solution over the glass for 2 to 3 minutes.
Step4
Wipe off the vinegar and water solution with a clean rag. If your glass is still old-looking, repeat Steps 2 and 3.
Step5
Dry the glass thoroughly with a rag. Keep the glass as streak-free as possible.
Step6
Polish your new-looking glass with a polishing compound designed to remove water deposits. This polishing compound ensures that your clean glass doesn't revert back to old-looking glass any time soon.
