    Things You'll Need

      • 1

Check out the different game sites. There are numerous sites where you can download games. Big Fish and Real Arcade are two of the more popular. The links are in the resource section.

      • 2

Find a game. There are many choices in the brick buster games. The Ricochet and Magic Ball series are among them. Find one that looks interesting to you and try it.

      • 3

Look at the requirements. Make sure your computer fills all the requirements for the brick buster game that you choose. If it doesn't you may have problems playing it or it may not work at all.

      • 4

Download the game. Most games give you an hour of free time--take advantage of it. You don't want to buy a game and find it doesn't work on your computer or you don't like it.

      • 5

Play the game. Most brick buster games not only start you off on easy levels, but they also give you a choice of easy, medium, hard and challenging. If this is your first time playing one of these games, you would be better off starting at easy. You can always quit the game and start on a higher level.

      • 6

Line up your shots. You need to aim at the bricks and remove them all to go on to the next level. This may sound easy, but sometimes it takes many shots to get rid of a brick and some bricks are not removable. In addition, there are power ups hidden in some of the bricks and these can be good or bad.

      • 7

Use the power ups. The best power up is the one that gives you additional lives. Depending on the game, you may start with three or five lives and you will earn lives in different ways. For example, in Ricochet you earn lives by gathering rings--when you reach 50 you get an extra life.

      • 8

Clear the board. When you have completely removed all the removable bricks, you will advance to the next level. If you miss and your ball goes out of bounds, you lose a life. The game is complete when either you have lost all your lives or you have completed all the levels.

    Tips & Warnings

    • Try to get as many lives as you can in the early levels--it gets harder as you progress.

    • Some bricks move and it makes it move difficult to hit them--take your time.

    • Make sure your anti-virus program is up to date.
