How to Play Hidden Object Games

Hidden Object games are a relatively new type of puzzle game that has quickly become very popular. Hidden object games are ones in which you need to find objects. You are given a list of items to find in different areas and you must find all of them or most of them to proceed to the next level. The following steps will help you play hidden object games.

Instructions

1. Find a site to download games. There are two sites in the resource section that are safe to download from.

2. Select the game you wish to try. Some hidden object games are The Scruffs, Big City Adventure San Francisco, Hidden Expedition Everest, Hidden Expedition Titanic and Mystery Case Files.

3. Make sure your computer meets all the requirements. If you don't have all the minimum requirements to play the game then the game may not load correctly.

4. Download the game. Most downloadable games will give you a free 60 minutes of game time, before you have to buy it. Take advantage of the time and play the game so you know whether it is something that you will enjoy or not.

5. Play the game. Hidden object games have things in common. You start a level and you need to find a certain amount of items. The items may be words of objects to find or they may be pictures of objects to find. The result is the same--find the objects. In some of these games, you need to find all the objects, in others you only need a certain amount to advance to the next level.

6. Use the hints. Each level will give you hints that you can use if you can't find an object. Some games give you a certain amount of hints and you can get more by finding them in the puzzle, others give you an unlimited amount of hints but they take a certain amount of time to rebuild after you use them.

7. Check the map. The map will let you know how many items are left in each location that you need to search. If you get stuck on a location, try another location to see if you can find more items there. Continue to do this till you have finished the level.

8. Watch your time. You only have a certain amount of time to complete the level. Be sure to check the amount of time you have and leave some for the puzzles that follow. In most of these games after you find the items you need to solve an additional puzzle--it could be a jigsaw puzzle, a "concentration" puzzle or some other type of puzzle.

9. Complete the level and move on. Hidden object games can be addictive--play at your own risk.
