How to Use Bowflex
The Bowflex is resistance weight training machine you can use at home. It uses polymer rods to give you needed resistance that will help to build and tone every major muscle group in your body with a large range of exercises for each muscle group.

Read over the maintenance information to answer your questions about the machine before you even have to ask them. Bowflex machines look weird, but they are simple and efficient, and they will help you use resistance instead of hand weights or weight machines to isolate certain muscles.

2
Set the resistance. There are limits to the Bowflex. You will never get as big as Jean Claude van Damme, but if you are looking to tone primarily it will do the job. There is a maximum of 410 pounds of resistance on the machine, and you can start low and increase your resistance as you become stronger.

Focus one day on legs, then back, then chest, then abs, then arms and then shoulders. You can contain these exercises to three days a week by combining two parts every other day. The Bowflex allows you to use resistance in ways that you can't with hand weights. The bench press is done from a seated position, so it helps to isolate your core muscles because your body is upright.

4
Learn the machine. Sit on the machine for awhile and get a feel for it. Then watch a video or read a manual. There are very few videos online, so it is a good idea to learn the machine from the people who made it.

5
Add a diet change. You cannot achieve a stellar body without making a lifestyle change. This includes your diet. Exercise alone will not be the answer. Eat lots of fruits and vegetables, lean meats and drink lots of water.
