Here are some easy steps to hang Christmas lights without using nails. Also, important steps that will save you time.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Strings of Lights, Multipurpose/All-in-one Clips for Shingles or Gutters, Ladder, Safety goggles, Tape measure, Heavy-duty extension cord
  1. Step 1

First place your ladder at the starting point for your lights. You will go along the roof and insert your multipurpose clips at the edge of shingles or gutters 12 inches apart. Make sure you are wearing safety goggles to protect your eyes from falling debris. When setting up ladder, make sure it is safe before climbing.

  2. Step 2

Make all measurements to ensure you have enough strings of lights. Plug them in, and make sure all bulbs are working properly. Now you are ready to hang lights. It is important that you start hanging lights with the correct (female) end. Once again, ensure the ladder is secure before climbing. Hang each string of lights on each multipurpose clip at the edge of shingles or gutters.

  3. Step 3

Connect the heavy-duty extension cord and plug in the Christmas Lights. Have a Merry Christmas!

on 12/9/2007 You can keep the ladder in the garage when hangning lights in trees, or if you already have hangers installed, by using a tool such as the one found at www.thehandyhook.com
