There are people that have always used the garage sale as a way to save money. Little did they know that it's also an easy way to make money. If you want to find an economical way to make money, use the garage sale as a beginning.

1. Hunt for items that are obviously underpriced and in good condition. Many times those running garage sales aren't experienced in setting prices or don't care about market value. They simply want to get rid of the items. Find the items that you believe are worth much more.
2. Look for collectibles. Sometimes collectibles don't have to be antiques or even all that old. They can just be rare items that are collectibles. Beanie babies, baseball cards, and old phonograph records are frequently found at garage sales.
3. Find designer clothing. Garage sales frequently have last seasons designer clothes dirt cheap. Know your designer and prices.
4. Sell the items that you bought on eBay. If you found a piece of jewelery or a collectible, reselling the item on eBay is one of the ways to turn it into cash.
5. Resell designer clothes at consignment shops. The increase in sale price comes from taking a few extra minutes to take them to a consignment or second hand clothing store. Hunt for the store that specializes in designer clothes.
6. Sell your finds at Craigslist. A free ad and a bargain item spells money in your pocket.
7. Open your own shop or have your own garage sale. Make yours better by marketing it heavily. Increase the prices slightly, at least to the correct market value, and look for profit.
