Step 1
Open Nero Vision. The easiest way to do this is to click on its shortcut in the Photo and Video directory of Nero's Start Menu folder.
-
Step 2
Select "Make DVD..." from the Nero Vision main menu and click on "DVD-Video."
-
Step 3
Click on "Add Video Files..." under the heading "What would you like to do?"
-
Step 4
Search your computer for the movies you'd like to burn. Digital home videos are usually recorded in AVI or MPEG format, but Vision will burn many other types as well. If you want to burn movies recorded in AVCHD format instead, simply click on "Import AVCHD from hard disk" to add them to your project.
-
Step 5
Use the arrows on the far left of the Content screen to change the order of your clips. When you're finished, click "Next."
-
Step 6
Click on the "Edit Menu..." button to create a main menu for your DVD. Nero allows you to adjust all of the menu's features, including its background, font, music and buttons, so take some time to explore the tools on the right side of the screen before moving on to other parts of the task.
-
Step 7
Click "Next" when you're satisfied with the layout and appearance of your menu.
-
Step 8
Use the virtual remote in the Preview screen to play through the different clips in your project. Check that they're the ones you meant to include and that they're in the right order. Then, click "Next" to set up the burning process.
-
Step 9
Check that Nero lists your DVD burner as the destination device. If you'd like, you can also save your DVD to your hard drive by clicking on "Write to Hard Disk Folder." When you're ready to finish your project, click "Burn."
