    Things You'll Need

    • Three plastic bags
    • Newspaper
    • Iron and ironing board
    • Ruler
    • Scissors
    • Pencil or china marker
    • Needle and thread
    • 1-inch-wide ribbon (optional)

Fuse three plastic bags together. Do this by flattening the bags and laying them on top of each other. Then, put them into the fold of a newspaper. Press a warm iron over the newspaper, until the bags are fused together. This will make your wallet sturdy.

Cut out a rectangle. Use your ruler and pencil and make a rectangle that is 7 inches by 6 inches on your plastic bags. Cut along the lines you drew using a scissors.

Fold the side of the bag that is 7 inches in half. If necessary, gently press the seam you just made with the iron as you did in Step 1. Be careful not to fuse the two halves together.

Finish your plastic bag wallet. Take a needle and thread, and sew the sides together using an overhand stitch. Fold the plastic bag in half again, and your wallet is ready to use!

    Tips & Warnings

    • Get some ribbon and use it to trim the edges of your wallet. Take the iron and press the ribbon in half, lengthwise. Slip the ribbon over the edge of your wallet, and sew it in place.
