Let's face it, a one night stand is never a good idea, but you did it with the boss. You might have enjoyed the steamy night of passion, but now you must return to reality, and work. Trying to figure out how to treat your boss after a one night stand is not easy; however, with a few tips you can deal with the awkwardness and emotional overload that is sure to follow.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Keep the secret between the two of you. Office rumors spread quickly, so confiding in a co-worker that you had sex with the boss is an easy way to ruin both of your reputations. Treat him with respect, and avoid future problems by keeping what passed between you, between the two of you.

  2. Step 2

Remain calm and try not to act awkward in front of your boss. Most likely she is feeling the same way you are, and your nervousness will only add to the uncomfortable energy passing between you. By remaining calm and trying to avoid awkward situations you can both continue doing your best work.

  3. Step 3

Pretend as if nothing ever happened, even if you want to extend your one night stand into a two or three night stand. He is the boss, and his authority should be respected. If your boss only wanted one night, your continuing advances will only put your job in jeopardy. Showing that you are classy and can keep the relationship under wraps may win you another roll in the hay, but wait for him to come to you.

  4. Step 4

Prepare yourself for both sides of the situation. If you want the night to pass like a bad dream, know what you will say and do if your boss comes looking for another night. On the other hand, if you want more, prepare yourself emotionally for the fact that you may never have sex with you boss again.

  5. Step 5

Recognize that the one night stand was a mutual decision. You may be feeling used, abused, jealous or have uncontrollable desire for another night, but he is your boss and your job is important. Threatening sexual harassment lawsuits, making snide remarks, crying, making a scene in the office or sending him flowers and love letters is childish and will not make you feel better.
