1. Locate a bottle that is not facing you. You must find a bottle that has a neck that is pointing in the opposite direction to make standing the bottle easy.
2. Verify that the ring is securely around the neck of the bottle. This is an important step in winning the Bottle Stand carnival game. A bottle with a ring that is not securely placed around its neck will slip off and result in a loss of the game.
3. Keep the fishing rod vertical. Position the rod so that there is no loose string between the rod's tip and the bottle. Tautness is key to successfully standing the bottle.
4. Move your body over the barrier counter. Lean over the counter as much as you can without losing your equilibrium or altering the position of the bottle.
