Standing a bottle during the Bottle Stand carnival game can be frustrating for those who are unfamiliar with the game's dynamics. You can use the following tips to increase your chances at standing bottles and going home with a huge prize.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Step1
Locate a bottle that is not facing you. You must find a bottle that has a neck that is pointing in the opposite direction to make standing the bottle easy.
Step2
Verify that the ring is securely around the neck of the bottle. This is an important step in winning the Bottle Stand carnival game. A bottle with a ring that is not securely placed around its neck will slip off and result in a loss of the game.
Step3
Keep the fishing rod vertical. Position the rod so that there is no loose string between the rod's tip and the bottle. Tautness is key to successfully standing the bottle.
Step4
Move your body over the barrier counter. Lean over the counter as much as you can without losing your equilibrium or altering the position of the bottle.
Step5
Lift the rod up while keeping it in its initial vertical position. The goal is to simply raise the rod without arching it back. The bottle should respond by rising.
Step6
Arch the rod up and back slowly when the bottle is almost at a standing position. Keep the rod in its general vertical position as much as possible while arching the rod. Use a more pronounced, gentle arching motion to help the string pull the bottle up from its teetering position.

on 7/24/2008 "Keep the rod vertical" ?? Should the butt of the rod be on bottom or top? Might you mean "horizontal" ??
