Kundalini Yoga is a form of yoga that uses continuous movements while practicing the postures, while breathing and chanting. As with many other forms of yoga, certain types of comfortable clothing are required in order to perform the postures correctly. Here's how to dress for Kundalini yoga.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Wear clothing that is made of cotton, linen or another natural, breathable material. It's important to allow your body to breathe and perspire naturally while performing Kundalini asanas.

  2. Step 2

Dress modestly. Make sure your top and bottoms adequately cover you even while bending over. You don't want to have to worry about exposing yourself in class.

  3. Step 3

Go with light colored clothing. White clothing is traditional for practicing Kundalini yoga.

  4. Step 4

Choose loose-fitting clothing that will allow you to move around freely, but not so loose that it will ride up during poses. The aim is for you to be as comfortable as possible.

  5. Step 5

Tie your hair back so it will not be a distraction to you during your yoga session.

  6. Step 6

Remove your socks. Practicing yoga barefoot stimulates the 72,000 nerve endings in your feet.
