Both have exhibits about one of the most famous figures during the Civil Rights movement. Check out the city's newspaper, the "Atlanta Journal-Constitution," for special events during Black History Month.

In Birmingham, Dr. King wrote is most famous letters from prison; photographers showed the world pictures of police dogs attacking Black people; and four girls were killed when a bomb went off in the Sixteenth St. Baptist Church. You can learn about these things and more at the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute. Find more events during Black History Month by looking online at Birmingham Black History.
Step3
