Silicone bakeware is an innovative product that keeps your food from burning. In fact, your food bakes and cools evenly. It's ideal for making brownies, breads, muffins and even gelatin molds! Silicone bakeware is completely non-stick. It's so flexible, you can pop your baked good right out of it. It can also be rolled up and goes from the freezer into the microwave with no problems.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

Decide on a color. Silicone bakeware doesn't fall into the boring bakeware category. You can get red, blue, green or yellow--any color to match your kitchen or your personality.

  2. Step 2

Research several brands. Cooks & Chefs and Cuisine Magic are two companies that produce silicone bakeware. Most of it can handle temperatures ranging from -40 degrees F to more than 480 degrees F.

  3. Step 3

Price out your options. You can buy individual pieces of silicone bakeware or an entire set. A ten-piece set is relatively inexpensive. It includes a Bundt pan, cookie sheet, muffin pan, hot pads and utensils.

  4. Step 4

Go to your local kitchen store or hit the web. There is tons of silicone bakeware out there. If you do a lot of baking with your children, bring them along. They'll love to pick out a fun color.

Tips & Warnings
  • Put your silicone bakeware into the dishwasher! It's perfectly safe.
  • Read the label. You don't have to worry as much about greasing or flouring silicone bakeware. But some makers do suggest you do so if the recipe calls for it.
  • Handle silicone bakeware with care. Because it's flexible, you may drop your baked goods or burn yourself.
  • Closely watch children when they are helping you in the kitchen.
