Many people at some point in their lives question their faith. Whatever their denomination, these people may explore other religions if they don't feel satisfied in their current church. One religious movement that is liberal and offers a broad spectrum of practices and beliefs is Unitarian Universalism. Incorporating facets of many religions without adhering to any single one, Unitarian Universalism becomes a choice for many people.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Open yourself to many different religious views and beliefs. Be tolerant of the practices and beliefs of different denominations. Unitarian Universalists don't hold themselves to a single belief system.
Step2
Continue to hold to your own practices. If attending church every Sunday is beneficial to you, do so. You don't need to meet any requirements to be a Unitarian Universalist. The movement is made up of people of all religious backgrounds.
Step3
Take a humanistic approach to helping those in need. Become community-minded. Unitarian Universalists stress human nature and doing good deeds in life more than spiritual salvation and divine intervention.
Step4
Seek spiritual meaning and truth in your own way. Unitarian Universalism believes each individual should find out what life and God and other issues mean to them personally and not through any set dogma.
Step5
Defend the civil rights of all people. Unitarian Universalists believe in freedom of choice when it comes to many issues including politics, social issues and moral issues. Their beliefs are more firmly rooted in worldly concepts rather than spiritual ones.
Step6
Join a Unitarian Universalist congregation. Find a congregation through the Unitarian Universalist Association of Congregations.
