Step 1
Receive the farm animals by truck or rail car. These will usually be sent to you by ranch, farm or feedlot.

Place the animals awaiting slaughter in a holding pen. While in this pen you can inspect them before they are slaughtered. You are looking for signs of disease.

Apply an electric shock to the animals using 300 volts and 2 amps to the back of the head. This will stun the animals and render them unconscious before they are killed.

Step 4
Hang the animals upside down on the processing line. They should be hung by their back legs. Slice the neck of the unconscious animals with a knife and allow them to bleed out.

Step 5
Skin the animals and remove the internal organs. Inspect them for disease and parasites. Have a government inspector examine the carcass for signs of disease.

Step 6
Box and refrigerate the meat until it is picked up by a distribution company. The company will then distribute it to retail stores.

Step 7
Send the blood and fecal tainted waste water to a treatment plant. The wasted materials, such as lard, should be sent to a rendering plant.
