Palm software can help you transform your palm pilot or trio into an amazing device capable of many things. Everything from games to spreadsheet and word processing tools become available with the click of a stylus if you know what to do.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Step1
Download your program. Whether you buy a program from a vendor or simply get free palm software, you'll have to download it to your computer. This will enable you to transfer it to your palm.
Step2
Install the software. In most cases, hot syncing will add the program to your palm; although, there may be limits on how many times you can transfer a program if it's not free palm software.
Step3
Set up your program. Many programs require you to set preferences and settings to obtain optimal performance. This can be as simple as choosing the design on your solitaire deck or setting up spell check in pocket word. Free palm software only exists in trial form sometimes, so some options may be disabled unless you buy the program.
Step4
Register your download. Companies typically require you to register if you'd like to upgrade past the trial version of free palm software. Even full programs can entice you to register with benefits such as updates, patches and deals on more new releases.
Step5
Use your resources. If you have problems or experience an error, try using the help file. This can be useful if you're not sure what to do, or want to try something new. If you believe you've found a bug, however, check the company's forums or email their tech support for a quick fix to your palm software.
