Bluetooth technology has made it possible to connect a plethora of accessories without the hassle of wires. What began as a way to connect mice, keyboards and headsets to computers and cellular phones is now seeing more applications in home phones. You can connect a Bluetooth cell phone to a landline phone or even use a Bluetooth headset with your home phone to make hands-free calls while you work around the house.

Motorola

Motorola offers the DECT 6.0 cordless phone with a built-in digital answering system, caller ID and an included Bluetooth headset. This phone offers a budget-friendly bundle of both the phone and a Bluetooth headset, and has a digital phone book that stores up to 30 names and numbers with a nine number speed dial. Both the base and the handset offer speakerphones for greater hands-free options. The base charges the handset and the Bluetooth headset, eliminating the need for extra chargers.

Panasonic

The Panasonic KX-TG6582T DECT 6.0 Plus gives you the option to link two Bluetooth cell phones to the base to make calls using your cell phone plan and the Panasonic handset, or to connect one Bluetooth headset to the Panasonic unit. It also offers the option to copy your cell phone's address book to the Panasonic phone. It includes a talking caller ID that can read the name and number of the caller aloud as the phone rings, and offers call block and a silent mode.

AT&T

AT&T offers the TL92271 DECT 6.0 cordless phone with two handsets and connections to up to four Bluetooth cell phones and one Bluetooth headset. It has an expanded memory and can copy up to 6,000 names and numbers from your cell phone address books. For your convenience, it saves the information of each Bluetooth device you pair with it and automatically connects to each when the device is in range. The intercom and push-to-talk feature on each handset offers the added benefit of being able to contact a family member in the other room.

VTech

The VTech LS6245 expandable DECT 6.0 Bluetooth cordless phone system offers a digital answering system and the ability to make both a landline and cell phone call simultaneously using two different handsets. The LS6245 pairs with up to eight separate Bluetooth devices, comes equipped with speakerphone and features button-less touch sensitive keypads on both the handset and base. For added flexibility, you can expand the LS6245 with up to 12 handsets using only one phone jack.

Siemens

Siemens offers the Gigaset SL785 DECT 6.0 cordless phone with a digital answering system and Bluetooth connectivity. It features a 500 entry address book and USB connectivity to transfer data to the phone quickly and easily. This cordless phone system expands with up to six handsets and connects to one Bluetooth headset for hands-free calling in any room of the house.
