Step 1
Gather construction paper, markers, pencils, glue, glitter, dark blue Tempera paint, paintbrushes, a stapler and scissors.
-
Step 2
Find empty milk cartons. Milk cartons that are about the size used for school lunches will suffice.
-
Step 3
Wash the milk cartons out with water. Use enough water to ensure a thorough cleaning. Get a kitchen or paper towel and dry the inside of the cartons. Allow the milk cartons to sit and air dry for a few minutes.
-
Step 4
Staple the milk carton openings shut.
-
Step 5
Paint each milk carton with Tempera paint. Allow the paint to dry for one hour.
-
Step 6
Pick up a dry milk carton. Turn it upside down.
-
Step 7
Decorate the milk carton's sides with the Hebrew letters Nun, Hay, Gimel and Shin. Each milk carton side should contain only one letter. You can use markers, cut out the letters using construction paper or use glue and glitter to form the letters.
-
Step 8
Allow the glue or marker to dry.
-
Step 9
Take one pencil and poke it through the milk carton. Make sure the point of the pencil enters through the milk carton's bottom and exits through the milk carton's top.
-
Step 10
Repeat steps until all milk cartons are turned into dreidels.
