Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Scrap yarn
  • Knitting needles (any size)
  1. Step 1

Cast on 10 to 20 stitches. The embossed moss rib pattern is a pattern of seven stitches plus three, so you need to cast on at least 10 stitches for each row.

  2. Step 2

Purl three, knit one, purl one, knit two and purl three. To finish the row, repeat the sequence of stitches, except the first purl three. This step completes the first row.

  3. Step 3

Knit three, purl two, knit one, purl one and knit three. Repeat the pattern, omitting the first knit three, to complete row two.

  4. Step 4

Work row three by purling three, knitting two, purling one, knitting one and purling three. Repeat the pattern, except the first purl three to complete the row.

  5. Step 5

Create row four by knitting three, purling one, knitting one, purling two and knitting three. Repeat the pattern, omitting the first knit three.

  6. Step 6

Repeat steps two through five to increase the length of your embossed moss rib pattern. Cast off when you are done.
