Indianapolis Raceway Park, also called O'Reilly Raceway Park, may sit in the shadow of that other really famous speedway in Indianapolis, but not by much. This track hosts multiple race events, including NASCAR, and is famous for having the only NASCAR Busch Series schedule that has had the same sponsor for 26 seasons. Read on to learn how to enjoy a NASCAR race at Indianapolis Raceway Park.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Watch the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and the NASCAR Busch Series in the same weekend. They both run the oval track built in 1960 that runs .686 miles around. Jimmy Hensley holds the Busch race record there from 1985. Greg Biffle holds the truck race record from 1999.

  2. Step 2

Find the raceway right off Highway 74. It's close enough to restaurants, hotels and other attractions to make a pleasant vacation of it.

  3. Step 3

Buy your tickets on the raceway website or any ticket site. Tickets are available as soon as NASCAR announces the Busch Series race dates. Buy early because they will sell out.

  4. Step 4

Purchase a race day program. It details all of the driver's records and standings as well as the history of the raceway and which driver's have broken records there.

  5. Step 5

Host a group to enjoy the parks hospitality tents or in the track side village inside the raceway. The park will cater and serve various sizes with variable budgets. Reserve group tickets in advance on the official website for the park.
