How to Protect a Hearse

Let's face it, it is a fact of life that hearses draw attention. Most of the attention drawn is not harmful. However, unless you take special precautions to protect your hearse you might find yourself too frequently a victim of vandalism. Read on to learn how to protect a hearse.

  1. Step 1

    Park your hearse inside whenever possible. Garaging your hearse over night will eliminate a lot of the opportunity for vandalism.

  2. Step 2

    Leave the hearse parked under a street light whenever you have to park it outside at night.

  3. Step 3

    Install an alarm on your hearse. Even though most people do not pay attention to the sound of a car alarm, it still works well to scare away would be thieves and vandals. An alarm sounding will also alert you to possible vandalism before the perpetrators have enough time to do too much damage.

  4. Step 4

    Put a sticker on your hearse in a highly visible area. The sticker should read "Protected by" and then the name of any company. It doesn't matter that the company is not protecting your vehicle, the sticker will deter vandalism by praying on the vandals paranoia.

  5. Step 5

    Consider installing security surveillance cameras if you park your hearse in an outside lot every night.

  6. Step 6

    Cover your hearse at night with a tybond material vehicle cover. These covers are lightweight and durable and are easy to put on and take off.

  7. Step 7

    Carry comprehensive insurance on your hearse that covers vandalism. It is also a good idea to make sure that the protection coverage includes glass.
