Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Shop for flights into Phoenix International Airport as you get info on spring training in Maryvale Baseball Park. Maryvale is a neighborhood within Phoenix, and the airport is minutes from the Brewers spring training headquarters.
Step2
Gather info on the famous sausage races that the Brewers organization brings from Milwaukee to Phoenix during spring training. Five runners dressed as various sausages run from the left field corner to the right field corner at the top of the seventh inning to entertain fans.
Step3
Complete your travel plans by purchasing spring training tickets from Maryvale Baseball Park as soon as they are placed on sale. Fans can purchase spring training tickets beginning in mid-January to all Brewers home games.
Step4
Prevent sunburn and dehydration by buying tickets in the upper rows in Maryvale Baseball Park. The upper level seats between the home and opposing team dugouts are protected from the midday sun by a partial roof. These tickets carry a higher price than any other ticket in the park but are comparable to outfield seats in a major league park.
Step5
Save money on tickets by buying outfield grass seats. These seats cost a fraction of the reserved seats in the stands but offer a unique view of spring training from centerfield.
Step6
Pack economically as you head from your hotel to Maryvale Baseball Park to avoid extensive security checks. The stadium requires all bags to be inspected and prohibits any bag larger than 16 inches long by 8 inches deep.
Step7
Frequent the Milwaukee Brewers team site on a regular basis during the off-season for spring training info (see Resources below). The team website features ticket information, guides to Phoenix and a schedule of games beginning in December.
