Just getting tickets to the NCAA March Madness is nearly impossible, much less securing good seats. If you want to get your hands on good seats, start early, keep trying and prepare to spend some serious money!

Things You’ll Need:

  • Ticket application

Secure the Best Seats Possible

Step1
Try your luck applying for Final Four series tickets through the host arena. Applications are available online in April of the year prior to the game. While you can't be assured that you'll get seats or even that your team will make it that far, you can always have faith and try to get tickets.
Step2
Contribute to the local organizational committee, which is a nonprofit charity. Most host committees arrange contributor ticket packages for the March Madness games. The best seats available are often reserved for contributors.
Step3
Purchase good seats to the NCAA championship games from a scalper. If your team ends up in the Final Four, you just have to crack into your savings and shell out the cash. Great seats are always available from brokers--they're just expensive.
Step4
Look for travel packages that include preferred tickets to the Final Four series. The travel agent will handle finding you good seats, along with hotel accommodations and admission to NCAA VIP events.
Step5
Get your hands on any tickets you can and try trading them (with a cash addition) for better seats on the day of the game. While scalpers aren't permitted on the grounds of the Final Four arena, you'll find them nearby. This isn't a guarantee, but it's always worth a try.

Tips & Warnings

  • If NCAA March Madness Final Four tickets keep evading you, consider looking at the forgotten side of the Final Four. Support your school with good seats at a women's game! The Women's Division 1 Finals also occur alongside the men's championship games each March and April.
  • Remember that good seats don't have to be in the section closest to the court. Check the seating chart and look for seats in the center that allow for a good view of the court. If you try to score seats toward the back, you'll pay less money and have less competition.
  • Buying tickets from scalpers is risky, as you may end up with forgeries.
  • Many people believe that the best seats for the NCAA Final Four are never sold to the public, so you may need to "know someone" to get good seats.
  • Avoid waiting until the last minute when ticket prices will be sky-high and most of the good seats snatched up. Start looking for tickets as soon as your team starts advancing through March Madness.
