Although some people may not find onion juice that appetizing, there are many ways to incorporate the juice into your daily diet.

Mix onion juice with other vegetables. When juicing, insert the onion before adding the other vegetables to reduce the onion smell in your juicer.

Choose onions according to how long you plan to keep them. Onions usually exist as sweet or storage varieties, and they typically come in white, yellow or red. Although sweet onions tend to taste sweeter and fresher, they do not keep as long as storage onions, which can be bought year-round.
While onion juice can be an effective way to treat high cholesterol, it generally has low nutritional value by itself because the onion contains so much water.
Avoid using color as an indicator when buying onions to treat high cholesterol. Color does not tell you how fresh or tasty the onion is.
Although there are no known dangers from excess onion juice intake, check with your doctor before you significantly increase your daily amounts.
