Product and treatment suggestions to lighten (or remove) acne scarring.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging

Things You’ll Need:

  • Scar or Skin products
  • Medical Insurance
Step1
Licorice There are plenty of skin lightening products on the market. Look for ingredients such as Licorice Extract, Glycolic Acid, Lactic Acid, Lemon Juice Extract and Vitamin C.
Step2
Balance is the key to healthy skin! A balanced skin care routine will improve current scars and prevent future acne. Get product recommendations from a dermatologist, esthetician or read product labels carefully to determine whether it is right for your skin-type.
Step3
Microdermabrasion For more challenging cases dermotological procedures such as soft tissue fillers, microdermabrasion and laser treatments might be necessary. Discuss treatments with your dermatologist or doctor.

Tips & Warnings

  • There is no magical solution to correcting scars or discoloration. Explore the many products out there and see what works for you. In many cases only a dermotologist can find the proper solution for your specific problems.
  • I am not a dermatologist, esthetician or doctor. The suggestions made in this article are based on the personal knowledge I have on skin care.
