How to Make Chipped Beef on Toast

If you enjoy a quick meal that is satisfying yet different, you will enjoy this simple recipe.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • Packet of gravy mix
  • 1 onion(optional)
  • 1 can sliced mushrooms (optional)
  • 1 sauce pan
  • 8 slices of bread
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Baking sheet
Step1
Sauté the ground beef in sauce pan on medium heat until it is crumbled fine and fully cooked. Drain excess oil. Return meat mixture to heating surface and slowly add onion, mushroom and gravy mix.
Step2
Sauté on low heat for one minute. Very slowly add water to meat mixture. Increase heat to medium for one minute, stirring constantly. Remove from heating surface.
Step3
Set out slices of bread onto baking sheet. Spread mixture onto bread. Bake bread and meat mixture in an oven or toaster oven at 350 degrees for three minutes. Remove and cool for three minutes.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you wish to add other vegetables to the mixture, steam cook them for two minutes first.
