When you work on a production, you have to be ready for everything because you never know what's going to come out of some writer's imagination. This is a quick and easy recipe for fake vomit that looks remarkably realistic. It's made of edible ingredients so the actor can actually put it in his mouth.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Instant oatmeal packets
  • Green and yellow food coloring
  • Bowl
  • Spoon
  1. Step 1

Make the instant oatmeal according to packet instructions. Use a little more water then recommended on the packet. You can make it in advance and refrigerate, but the consistency is better if you make it right before you need to use it.

  2. Step 2

Color it with the green and yellow food coloring. You can keep the colors separate or let them meld into a murky brown. You can add some puffed corn breakfast cereal if you want it a little chunkier.

  3. Step 3

It's edible so the actor can just put it in his mouth. When it comes time to heave, he projects the stuff from his mouth.
