How to Make Cream Puffs
Cream puffs are a tasty, old-fashioned treat that you can make at home. They aren’t as hard to make as they may seem. When complete, garnish them with melted chocolate chips to make an irresistible dessert. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 quart sauce pan
- 1 cup pastry flour
- 4 eggs
- Tablespoon
- Serrated bread knife
- Greased cookie sheet
- Whipped cream

Bring water and butter to a boil in the sauce pan. Once it boils, lower the heat.

Slowly stir in flour. Stir continuously on low heat for three minutes.

Remove from heat and stir in one egg at a time.

Drop the mixture onto a cookie sheet in rounded tablespoons. Shape them into shells.

Bake at 400 F for 20 minutes. Reduce the heat to 350 F and bake for 15 minutes.

Remove the puffs from oven when lightly browned and let them cool.

Cut the puffs in half with bread knife once cooled. Fill bottom half of puff with 1-inch layer of whipped cream. Cover with the top half. Keep the puffs refrigerated until it is time to eat.

Tips & Warnings
Garnishing the top of your cream puffs with melted chocolate chips makes them irrestible.
