Things You'll Need:
- 3 large ripe bananas
- 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1/4 cup fresh butter
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon almond flavoring
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup miniature chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
-
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
-
Step 2
Mash the bananas in a small bowl and set aside.
-
Step 3
Beat the sugar, eggs, and butter until creamy. Stir in the mashed bananas, orange juice, vanilla extract and almond extract. Mix thoroughly until combined.
-
Step 4
In a separate bowl, sift the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
-
Step 5
Add the flour mixture to the banana mixture. Mix together with a wooden spoon until it forms a smooth batter.
-
Step 6
Stir in chocolate chips, walnuts and pecans. Leave in the refrigerator for 5 minutes.
-
Step 7
Spray two 8-inch loaf pans with cooking spray.
-
Step 8
Remove batter from the refrigerator and pour it into greased pans. Bake for 50-55 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit, or until the center of bread is completely cooked. It's easy to underbake this recipe, so make sure the loaves are cooked completely before taking them out of the oven.
