    Instructions

    1. Food habits

      • 1

Start every morning with a glass of water or fruit juice twenty minutes before eating your breakfast. You will feel full when you sit down to eat, and your body will be recharged from the drink.

      • 2

Have a good breakfast with good complex carbohydrates, such as oatmeal or kasha, to satisfy your hunger and give you energy throughout the day. Add a teaspoon of olive oil for healthy fat. Eat slowly and just enough to feel full.

      • 3

Try to eat a lighter food with a protein for lunch, such as a salad with sliced chicken or fish. If you order something heavy, eat in moderation. Have one slice of pizza instead of two or eat only half the dish of pasta. Order a tasty, colorful fruit for dessert.

      • 4

Avoid eating a heavy meal for dinner. Have a low-fat protein, like skinless herbed chicken and lots of vegetables. If you have wine for dinner, keep it to one glass. Keep dessert portions small, unless your having fruit.

      Activity

      • 1

Go outside for short power walks at least twice a day. It might sound impossible, but you can count shopping as a walk. Keep the same, quick walking speed throughout. Walk with a purpose as if you're always in a hurry. Use your lunch break to take a short walk; this will cut down on your eating time.

      • 2

Use free moments to stretch your body. Stretch upwards, moving your hands over your head. Circle your arms down toward your right side, and toward your left side.

      • 3

Jump several times. Stretch your feet. Move your hips to the right and to the left. Try to touch the ground and stretch your hands upwards and backwards several times.

      • 4

Finish your exercise with slow, relaxed breathing. You can do this anywhere.

      • 5

Take a relaxed walk before you sleep. You'll burn calories and sleep better.
