Are you done making babies? Trying to make up your mind if this is the right way to go? Heard stories from the guys at work, I will share my experience to help prepare you for a Vasectomy.

Instructions

Difficulty: Challenging

Things You’ll Need:

  • A Reputable Doctor
  • 3-4 Bags of frozen peas
Step1
Making the decision is the first step, talk with your significant other as this is considered a one way trip. Once you have decided to go forward, then selecting the Doctor to perform the operation is the next step.Talk to your peers and see if there are some good references. Make an appointment as many will have a consultation visit first.
Step2
At your consultation visit your Doc will discuss the procedure, he will explain that this procedure is permanent and the sample test afterwards will determine if the Vasectomy was a success. You will then be scheduled for the actual procedure date.
Step3
Take care of business at home, mow the yard, do any tasks that need done so that after surgery you won't have to deal with this stuff then. A good time to do this is early in the week when the kids are off to school, and you can relax without getting jumped on.
Step4
Show up early at your appointment, it's best if you have someone to give you a ride home. You will probably get a shot of something to calm you down such as Demerol or some other sedative. My Doc has a great personality and he played music during the procedure.
Step5
The procedure is this: You are lying in a reclined position, a couple of injections of a local anesthetic to the vas deferens (the sperm tubes) and your scrotum where two very small incisions are made. This felt like a small pinch after that it went numb in the area.
Step6
The Doc makes an incision on both sides of your sack, doing the complete procedure on each side before moving to the other. Through the incision he will use a couple of small clamps on the vas deferens, cut between them, my Doc clamped, sutured (sewed) and cauterized the tubes to make sure they were sealed. The cauterization smelled like hair burning.
Step7
Frozen Peas The whole procedure took less than a half hour, the Doc used glue on the incision area and sent me home. When you get home you will feel fine for the next couple of hours until the Demoral wears off, begin placing the frozen peas (the loose kind) on your groin area when you get home, the cold will reduce swelling do this for at least two to three days. Its nice to take a few days off work for recovery time. Wear briefs you will want support as this will be an area of discomfort for a short while. Yes you can still get your wife pregnant until you have purged out all your supply of sperm and replaced with fluids only. You will provide a sample of semen about 2-3 weeks later to check for live sperm, if none are found the operation was a success.
