How to Use a Digital Camera

Digital cameras are all the rage, and learning the basics is a must. From taking a picture to downloading finished photos to the computer, the secrets of digital photography are simple.

1. If your camera has an on/off switch, switch it to on. The lens may move outward to a focused position.

2. If you have a LCD screen on the back, you will immediately see an image of what is in front of the camera.

3. Hold the camera about 10 inches from your face, and find what you wanted to take a picture of.

4. Press and hold down the shutter button, don't let it go like you would a regular film camera, but hold it until the flash goes off. Once you have the photo you can save it on the camera's memory or download it to your computer.
