No, you don't need new dish washing liquid or even a new dishwasher. All you need is a few simple steps to remove dishwasher film, and your dishwasher can work as good as new!

From Quick Guide: Dishwashers 101
Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • bowl
  • 1/2 cup bleach
  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  1. Step 1

Fill the dishwasher with dirty dishes.

  2. Step 2

Place a bowl with a 1/2 cup of bleach on the bottom rack of the dishwasher.

  3. Step 3

Allow the dishwasher to run through only the "wash" cycle.

  4. Step 4

Fill the same bowl you used in Step 2 with 1/2 cup of vinegar.

  5. Step 5

Run the dishwasher through a complete cycle to fully remove the dishwasher film.
