How to Remove Dishwasher Film
Especially if you have hard water, you might notice a film starting to build up on dishes, even if you use a dishwasher. It's unsightly, and certainly not something you want to use with your family and guests. If you have this problem, there's a rather simple solution using a common household ingredient. Fill the dishwasher with dirty dishes.

Place a bowl with 2 cups of vinegar on the bottom rack of the dishwasher. Add the normal dishwashing detergent.

Run the dishwasher through its normal wash cycle.

Tips & Warnings
The vinegar will also clean the inside of the dishwasher.
Avoid using gel detergents in your dishwasher. These can leave a film on glasses.
Never use any silver or other metal objects in the dishwasher while you remove dishwasher film. This can damage or discolor those objects.
