Remove Tea and Coffee Stains

Oops! You spilled coffee or tea on your favorite shirt. Now, what do you do? Relax! You can easily remove tea and coffee stains from garments and not only can you do this with items you already have around the house, eliminating the need to buy some special stain remove and take a trip to the store, but it's also free or virtually free.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • hairspay
  • bar of soap
  • cold water
  1. Step 1

Lay out the stained clothing item or tablecloth on a flat surface, such as a table.

  2. Step 2

Spray the stained area with hair spray (any hair spray will do). This primes the area for the next step, to remove tea and coffee stains.

  3. Step 3

Rub those same stained spots with a bar of soap. This helps to remove the tea and coffee stains.

  4. Step 4

Rinse the clothed item(s) in cold water until it is no longer soapy.

  5. Step 5

    Dry as usual.

Tips & Warnings
