How to Make a Chi Chi - the Hawaiian version of the Pina Colada

Hawaiians have their own version of the pina colada called the Chi Chi. It's made with vodka instead of rum. After you've had a chi chi or two, you won't care whether you're in Cincinnati or on Oahu.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Pineapples - one for each person, or one for each couple 16 oz. Pineapple juice per blender full of chi chis 8 Tbsp. coconut syrup for each blender full 8 oz. vodka 8 dashes cream for each blender
  1. Step 1

    Cut tops off pineapples and discard. Remove the center core of fruit to leave hollow drinking "glass." Refrigerate pineapple that you remove.

  2. Step 2

    Into blender, pour pineapple juice, coconut syrup, vodka, cream and ice. Blend until smooth consistency.

  3. Step 3

    Garnish with cherries and pineapple chunks, if desired. Serve with straws.

Tips & Warnings
  • This makes a beautiful drink for a summer outdoor party, especially one with a tropical theme. A romantic drink for couples to share.
