Things You'll Need:
- business cards
- computer
-
Step 1
Determine what industries would be the most beneficial for you to form relationships within and research those organizations in the Las Vegas area. The internet and local Chambers of Commerce are good resources for this (see Resources below).
-
Step 2
Attend functions or call on individuals/businesses whom you've targeted to form relationships with. Be sure to be a good listener at these events, as it is common for people to be about their own agenda. Ask them how YOU can help THEM improve their business!
-
Step 3
Maintain consistent contact with these organizations and individuals you've found to be receptive to building a relationship with you. Call on them on regular intervals and attend functions where they may be present.
-
Step 4
Consider joining specific organizations that further your networking goals and are suitable to your business needs. Remember: joining does NOT entitle you to referrals. Referrals are earned and relationships must be nurtured!
