Keep your dresser smelling fresh! Your home can be filled with natural fresh fragrances! If you do not like those perfume satchels or chemical air fresheners, here is a great little project you can do to keep your dresser drawers from getting stale and musty. Say hello to CITRUS!
This is a simple project, your kids can do it for you if you are looking for a way to keep them busy! Does this Spark an idea?

  • Orange

Instructions

      Start with an Orange.

      using whole cloves, push the sharp part of the clove into the orange. Start at the top of the orange and make a row of Cloves going from top to bottom. Then make another row next to the first and continue until the entire orange is covered in cloves.

      When the entire orange is covered, you can now use it for a LONG time! I know my mom kept the ones I made her in her drawers more than a year and it would still smell great! Place the orange clove in a place you want to keep smelling great. Your closet, your drawers, your bathroom...make more than one and you can put them everywhere!

Tips & Warnings

  • this can be a little project that you work on a little bit each day. It can be relaxing as you get your system down and begin to cover the entire orange.

  • the kids can makes this as a home-made gift for grandma or someone special.

  • careful not to poke yourself with the cloves

    I just wanted to add...I first made one of these in grade school. It was one of the best presents my mother loved. Great for kids to make...I'd like to get one from my kids. Maybe we'll have a Thanksgiving project...thanks for the great article.
