Need a simple way to water your plants when you will be away from home for extended periods of time? Here's a quick and easy solution!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Bucket
  • Household String (med. thickness)
  1. Step 1

Fill a bucket of cool water and place in bathtub.

  2. Step 2

Place plants in position that surrounds the bucket.
Give your plants a regular watering.

  3. Step 3

Cut string in lengths long enough to reach from bottom of bucket into plant.
Lay the string near the plants roots & you should be good to go.
The water in the bucket will saturate the string which will release water by acting as a straw!

on 6/29/2008 Sounds like a good idea. I'll be doing that instead of letting my friends take care of them (my plant missed me and died within three days of me being gone).
