1. Create your birth chart online. Free services that help generate a chart are Astrodienst, Astrolabe, Chaos Astrology and GotoHoroscope. On the birth chart, there are several planets with different signs, including aspects made to each planet and the house they are in.
2. Next look for astrology sites online that will further explain the planetary positions, houses of the planets, elements of each sign so you can get a clear understanding to what you are studying.
3. Visit astrology forums. Places such as linda-goodman.com have a free astrology course that beginners can study.
4. Read books based on astrology. Great books for those who are learning astrology are ‘Astrology for Dummies’, Planets and Possibilities and Mapping out Your Birth Chart and Astrology ‘101’. Most bookstores or libraries have these books available.
