How to Tie a Rosary Knot

  1. Step 1

Pinch the middle of the twine between your thumb and index finger of your non-dominant hand, then lay the twine over your index finger.

  2. Step 2

Bring the twine around your finger to make an "x" on top of your index finger.

  3. Step 3

Wrap the twine around your finger two more times. You will have three loops on your index finger. Loosen the loops from your finger, but do not let go.

  4. Step 4

Bring the end of the twine up from the bottom and slip it through the three loops on your finger.

  5. Step 5

Slowly tug the end of the twine while you pinch the loops with your left hand. When your knot is in place, pull from both ends to tighten the knot.
