Do you have a restaurant that desperately needs help, is losing money and is poorly managed? Try applying for help from tough celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, whose hot new FOX-TV show, "Kitchen Nightmares," visits troubled restaurants and whips them into shape. FOX is looking for willing participants for 10 new shows.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging

Things You’ll Need:

  • A willingness to be videotaped during private and sometimes embarassing moments.
  • A willingness to see yourself on TV, warts and all.
  • A tough skin, since Gordon Ramsay will be extremely critical.

Step1
Go to the FOX Broadcasting website and scroll to the bottom of the home page, where you'll see "Now Casting." Click on that and you will be taken to a list of FOX programs that are looking for participants. Click on "Kitchen Nightmares" for information about casting.
Step2
If you are from any section of the country other than New York, email or call for further information about casting. The email address is:
KitchenNightmares@theconlincompany.com. Be sure to put Kitchen Nightmares in the subject line. The toll-free telephone number is 1-866-226-2226. FOX says it is casting participants from many major cities.
Step3
If your restaurant is located in New York and surrounding areas, email
Twinsworld1@aol.com. Be sure to put Kitchen Nightmares in the subject line. Or call the toll-free number, 1-866-226-2226.
Step4
Once you call or email, you will directed to a place where you can download and print the casting application. After you've filled out the application, send it to: Kitchen Nightmares, c/o The Conlin Company Casting, 11825 Major Street, Suite 106, Culver City, Calif. 90230

Tips & Warnings

  • Remember that to be eligible, restaurants must have been open for more than a year, owners must be honest about the problems they are having, and applicants must be over the age of 21.
  • Fair warning: Gordon Ramsay, also host of FOX's "Hell's Kitchen," can be brutally critical of restaurant owners, managers, chefs and other staff during his visit. Be ready for fireworks, but expect the restaurant to be changed for the better.
