One of the first things a woman notices about a man are his shoes. While they don't have to be shiny and new, they'd better not be worn out and abused. Follow these steps to keep new shoes from becoming the kind of worn-out nightmares that women are trained to avoid.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Take new shoes to a shoe repair place or to the dry cleaners. Say you want heel savers, toe savers and no-slips. The shoes should be ready within a day or two.

  2. Step 2

Before you wear the newly protected shoes out of the house, check the heel savers and make sure they haven't worn down to the actual heel. If they have, take them back and have them re-done.

  3. Step 3

Repeat these steps for any shoes in your closet that you think a woman would frown on.
