Step2
As you read through the Bible, mark where the Holy Spirit is working. He will be named as God, Lord, Spirit, Spirit of God, Spirit of Truth, and Eternal Spirit.
Step3
To get started, look at these verses in the Bible to understand His workings.
* Ephesians 2:18 (For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit.) shows the access we have through the Holy Spirit.
* Luke 4:18 (The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed,) shows that we receive anointing for the tasks that God calls us to do.
* Romans 8:15-16 (For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, "Abba, Father." The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children.) assures of that we belong to God.
* 2 Peter 1:20-21 (Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet's own interpretation. For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.) tells us that the Holy Spirit is the author of Scripture.
* John 1:32-34 (Then John gave this testimony: "I saw the Spirit come down from heaven as a dove and remain on him. I would not have known him, except that the one who sent me to baptize with water told me, 'The man on whom you see the Spirit come down and remain is he who will baptize with the Holy Spirit.' I have seen and I testify that this is the Son of God.") tells us that the Holy Spirit is the baptizer.
These verses should get you started as you study the Holy Spirit’s works.
