How to Prepare Your Testimony

Everyone has a story to tell of how God has worked in their life, and many people feel that it is good to share them. Sometimes by writing out a testimony, it becomes easier to share with all your thoughts put in order. Listening to someone else give their testimony is a great encouragement to those who are either seeking their spirituality or want to grow spiritually. There are three parts of a testimony. The first part is before you became a Christian. In this section, write out how your life was before knowing Christ. What were the desires of your heart? Where did you feel empty? How did you attempt to fill those empty spots in your life? Some examples may be that you were lonely, felt no purpose in life, had no direction, were fearful and more. You may have tried to fill these needs with drugs, sex, success, becoming a workaholic or something else.
