How to Be an Encourager
Discouragement seems to run rampant in the world today with so many ways people hurt one another: cars cutting in front of others, people pushing and shoving in line, irate people at work and so much more. In the Bible, a man named Joseph was renamed Barnabas because of his great ministry of encouragement. You, too, can be a Barnabas and encourage others. People seem to need encouragement so much, as anxiety-related issues are on the rise. You can make the difference in a person's life, which could lead to a change in the community, nation and world.

Begin with prayer and reading the Bible. Encouragement from God is the best encouragement anyone can receive. Then, make the decision that you will go out and encourage those you come in contact with during the day.

2
Brainstorm and practice some things you may say to people you see during the day. Again, scripture can be a great encouragement to others. The more you encourage, the more it will become a part of you to do so. In time, you will do it naturally.
