When someone hurts you, it's not always easy to get past it. It Take these steps to help in easing the pain and put you on the path to forgiveness.

  1. Step 1

    As hard as it may be, you may want to consider the background of the person who has hurt you. Maybe they are insecure or they are used to getting their way all of the time and now they have made a mistake and do not know how to deal with it. Or maybe it was something out of their control.

  2. Step 2

    As unfortunate as it is, sometimes people enjoy succeeding at hurting others. If you continue to hurt, you let the other person win. That's why it is important to move on and learn from your past. When people make a mistake or intentionally do something hurtful, it should be them who has to live with it not you.

  3. Step 3

    Stay active in being kind. It is important not let one situation sour you. Even if you never truly forgive someone, at least you know you are strong and you're still a kind person. Being the better person can be hard but it is sometimes worth it.
